Every panel is cut to your triangle, so pricing is per square foot rather than per piece.

How do I calculate my gable area?

Gable area is ½ × base × height — the width of the triangle at its base, times its vertical height to the apex, halved.

Which thickness should I choose?

Most gables are fine in 8 mm. Go thicker for one of three reasons:

• Size. A larger single panel wants more rigidity. Above roughly 40–50 sq ft, 10 or 12 mm is the sensible default.
• Exposure. A west-facing gable taking full afternoon sun and monsoon rain head-on justifies 12 mm. A gable set back under a deep eave does not.
• Shadow. The pattern is read from twenty or thirty feet below, where the shadow line does most of the work. An 18 mm cut throws a much deeper shadow than an 8 mm one.

What you get, and how to order

Every panel is cut in one piece to your exact triangle. We do not supply a rectangle for you to cut down, and we do not join two pieces to make a triangle — a visible join across a gable defeats the point.

Standard finish is white PVC foam board. It needs no painting, no sealing and no annual maintenance. It will not rot, will not absorb monsoon water and cannot be attacked by termites. Here is why we use it rather than WPC or multiwood.

1. Measure the base and the vertical height of your gable. The measurement guide walks through it with photographs.
2. Multiply base × height, halve it — that is your square footage.
3. Pick a pattern and a thickness from the tables above.
4. Send your measurements and pattern choice, or message us on WhatsApp with a photo of the elevation.

What is the minimum order for gable jaali?

16 square feet, which is roughly an 8 ft × 4 ft gable. That is small for a house gable, so most orders are comfortably above it.

Can you match my roof pitch exactly?

Yes. Give us the base width and vertical height and the panel is cut to that triangle. If your gable is not a clean triangle — stepped, arched at the base, or interrupted by a window — send a photograph with dimensions and we will work from that.

How is a PVC gable jaali fixed?

Surface-fixed to the wall or to a light frame, with allowance for thermal movement at the fixing points. It is light enough that overhead fixing is straightforward, which is a large part of why PVC suits gables better than metal or WPC.

Which thickness should I order?

8 mm for a standard, partly sheltered gable. 12 mm for a large or fully exposed one. 18 mm if you want the pattern to throw a deep shadow. Send a photo and we will advise rather than defaulting you to the expensive option.
