Sizing and Pricing a Jaali Panel

Jaali panels are CNC router-cut screens used for room partitions, balcony infills, window screens, pooja room dividers, staircase panels and decorative wall features. Every panel is cut to your opening rather than sold in fixed sizes.

Measuring your opening

  1. Measure the width and height of the opening in feet. Width × height gives your square footage.
  2. For a partition that doesn't fill a full opening, measure the panel size you actually want rather than the room.
  3. Measure at two or three points — older walls are rarely perfectly square, and we allow for it in the cut.
  4. Tell us whether you want the panel to sit inside the opening or overlap the face, as it changes the cut size.

Rate by thickness

ThicknessRate per sq ftBest for
5 mm₹110Light interior screens, pooja room dividers, wall features
8 mm₹160Room partitions, window screens — the common interior choice
10 mm₹200Balcony infills and semi-exposed positions
12 mm₹240Full-height partitions and larger free-standing spans
18 mm₹300Deep-relief feature panels, maximum rigidity

An 8 ft × 4 ft partition is 32 sq ft, so around ₹5,120 in 8 mm. Shipping is extra.

How open should the pattern be?

Denser patterns give more privacy and block more light; open patterns let air and light through and feel lighter in a small room. If you're screening a bathroom or bedroom, say so and we'll steer you towards a denser design. For an airflow or ventilation panel, the opposite. Tell us the purpose and we'll recommend rather than leave you guessing.

Standard finish is white. See the PVC measurement guide for the full walkthrough.

Why Choose PVC Jaali

  • Cut to your openingNo trimming a standard panel to fit. We cut to the width and height you measure, allowing for walls that aren't quite square.
  • Lighter than wood or MDFEasy to handle and fix in place, and light enough for partition work without extra framing or structural support.
  • Moisture-proofSafe in bathrooms, balconies, kitchens and coastal humidity where MDF swells and wood warps. No rot, no termites.
  • Privacy without darknessPattern density is a choice. Tell us what the panel is screening and we'll recommend an open or dense design accordingly.
  • Preview at your sizeYou see the pattern scaled to your actual dimensions before we cut, so you know how it will read in the space.
  • Your pattern if you preferSend a reference photo and we'll redraw it as a cutting file at no extra charge.

PVC Jaali Panel FAQs

How much does a PVC jaali panel cost?
Per square foot by thickness: ₹110 for 5 mm, ₹160 for 8 mm, ₹200 for 10 mm, ₹240 for 12 mm and ₹300 for 18 mm, plus shipping. An 8 ft × 4 ft partition is 32 sq ft, so roughly ₹5,120 in 8 mm.
What thickness do I need for a room partition?
8 mm is the usual choice for interior partitions and window screens. Go to 12 mm for full-height or free-standing partitions that need more rigidity, and 5 mm for light decorative screens and pooja room dividers.
How do I measure my opening?
Width × height in feet. Measure at two or three points across the opening — walls are rarely perfectly square and we allow for that in the cut. Also tell us whether the panel sits inside the opening or overlaps the face.
Can I use jaali in a bathroom or balcony?
Yes. PVC foam board does not absorb moisture, swell, rot or attract termites, so it handles bathrooms, balconies, kitchens and coastal humidity where MDF and wood fail.
How much privacy does a jaali give?
It depends on the pattern density, which is your choice. Denser patterns block more sight and light; open patterns feel airier and let more light through. Tell us what you're screening and we'll recommend a suitable design.
What colours are available?
Standard finish is white, which suits most interiors and is what the majority of orders ship in. Ask on WhatsApp if you need a different finish and we'll tell you what's achievable for your panel.
How is it fixed in place?
Usually with a light timber or aluminium frame, or screwed directly to the wall or opening reveal depending on the application. Tell us where it's going and we'll advise on the fixing method before you order.
Can you make a pattern I've seen elsewhere?
Yes. Send the photo on WhatsApp — we redraw it as a cutting file, scale it to your panel size and show you the preview. There is no extra charge for a custom pattern.
